As a closing event  to Joel Project from this year, along with Estrellita and a volunteers team, we’ve participated with a lot of kids from the Public School Nº31, in various leisure activities, highlighting how values are extremely important for our behaviour and companionship.

On Friday 25 and Monday 28 of November, over 80 children waiting for us to spend a day of entertainment and fun.

A big game board took us on a journey from the prison of  Maltratopolis to the beautiful city of Buentratopolis, while we’ve been learning many lessons along the way to the city.

At the end of the dynamics, we all received  the “Antipegánica” vaccine, that gives us strength to avoid being protagonists of physical and verbal aggression.

We learned how important it’s to treat others with the same respect we want to be treated.

For the first time, the Lord opened a new door to work with values in a public school. We look forward with great enthusiasm that in 2012, we could get other opportunities to keep sharing the “good news” with everybody.

We give a special thanks to the volunteers team who joined us in this activity:

Dr. Natalia and Nurse Sandra: our promoters

The Pastor of San Pablo Lutheran Church, Guillermo Herigert.

and Valeria Bustamante,  Deaconess from San Pablo Lutheran Church.

FESTICHICOS!

November 12 of 2011 , Estrellita has shared an special evening  at “Festichicos” with lots of friends. We where along with children and teachers, and we learned more about the story of Joseph in Egypt, a man who has believed with great confidence in God’s willing, delivered into his hands,  his own dreams, desires, fears and sufferings.

That fidelity to the Lord has richly gratified Joseph’s life!

Remember this story…  a lesson that our Lord Jesus taught us: “Everything is possible for one who believes.”  Mark 9:23.

Past November 5, Christ for all Nations, gathering with our friends from the Intercessors Network of Uruguay, we participated in an event aimed at younger children, where Estrellita led us to travel through six countries, in which Uruguayan missionaries and their families are serving the Lord.

With our passports, we’ve traveled to Argentina, then we waited in Ecuador before crossing the ocean to go to Spain, with music and joy. Then, we made a stop in Lithuania, a small country with little more than 3 million citizens. After that, we went to Thailand,  in where we ate spicy food as “curry” . Finally, our last stop was in Turkey, in where we learned how to say “hello” and “goodbye” in their own language. At the end, we all tasted traditional foods of each country, we received a diploma for having participated in the event, and also we took a new passport, stamped by our Lord Jesus, that enables us to follow the journey of life, where beautiful adventures are waiting for!

Our volunteers:  Carine, George, and Rebekah.

6 days… 9 north american volunteers…one mission = sharing with love.

Besides that the color of our skin is different, we speak different languages, the clothes we wear, those things that we usually eat, and so many aspects that remind us our peculiarities… nevertheless, we have lots of things in common: the same needs and concerns.
We have been created by the same God, and in faith, we all speak the same language.
